Driven by true determination and passion to discover the undiscovered, the festival actively provides filmmakers, students and aspiring creatives the opportunity to have their film/s screened to an audience as part of a major festival.
Over 80 independent filmmakers showcased their talent at the 2022 festival, which was attended by over 2000 people across three venues within the town – and so far we’ve already received over 150 submissions for 2023 (as of 2 March 2023).
Plans are underway to create an even bigger celebration of independent film within the town for 2023, by partnering with new venues and introducing further categories.
However, it’s our sponsors that make LFF as accessible as possible, enabling us to continue to keep entry fees and ticket prices low.
