Below, we’ve compiled a list of all the useful information and links you will need to make your visit to Lowestoft stress-free and enjoyable. Whether you choose to stay in Lowestoft or nearby and travel to the town for the festival, there are plenty of options.
The best way to travel to Lowestoft from outside our local area is by train via Greater Anglia.
There are currently no planned strikes or engineering works that will affect your travel by rail to Lowestoft via the Ipswich or Norwich lines.
For international attendees, the nearest regional Airport to Lowestoft is Norwich Airport, which can be reached by international flights from Amsterdam with KLM Airlines.
Our nearest direct international Airport is Stansted. Stansted can be directly accessed from Lowestoft by train via the Greater Anglia Stansted service to Norwich, with onward travel via train from Norwich Train Station or bus via Norwich Bus Station to Lowestoft.
The festival is held at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft Town Centre.
There are direct train services running to Norwich and Ipswich, and on-going connections to Cambridge and London Liverpool Street as well as other locations via Ipswich or Norwich.
Lowestoft train station is conveniently situated in central Lowestoft which makes for the perfect location to explore our festival, other local offerings & restaurants + hotels are all a short stroll away or further afield by taxi or one train stop back from Lowestoft to Oulton Broad North or Oulton Broad South.

From Norwich, follow the A146 and follow the local signs to Lowestoft, and look for Town Centre.
From Ipswich, follow the A12 and follow the local signs to Lowestoft, and look for Town Centre.
From Cambridge, take the A14 followed by the A143 or A11 and follow the local signs to Lowestoft, and look for Town Centre.
From London, take the A12 or M11 followed by the A11, A14 and A143 and follow the local signs to Lowestoft, and look for Town Centre.
There are a number of car parks in Lowestoft to choose from, however parking can become limited so if you are able, please take the train, catch a bus or walk to our venues.

The most convenient way to find parking places is via the council’s RingGo parking service where you can see which car park is the quietest and how much parking is.
Lowestoft has plenty of options for you to choose from when it comes to finding somewhere to stay for the night, from hotels, AirBnBs, camping, caravans, and seafront B&Bs.
Alternatively, you could look at staying in Norwich and travel into Lowestoft via the Norwich trainline or stay in the nearby village of Beccles and travel via the Ipswich trainline.
