The Marina Theatre is at the cultural heart of the Lowestoft, Waveney and Suffolk community.We deliver a wide range of shows, films, events and community activities, bringing in a diverse range of audiences of around 80,000 per year.

Sharing Our Stories is a heartfelt strand at Sunrise Film Festival showcasing a diverse collection of short films that celebrate personal, cultural and universal narratives. These films offer a window into different lives, experiences and perspectives, told with honesty, creativity and emotion.

About the Films: Each film in Sharing Our Stories brings a unique voice to the screen, whether through intimate character studies, powerful life experiences, or imaginative storytelling. These films explore themes of identity, community, resilience and the human experience, showcasing the art of storytelling in its purest form.

Please note that latecomers may be admitted up to 15 minutes after the screening has started but may be asked to take a seat at the back of the auditorium. Standing is not permitted in any of the screenings, and photography, audio, and film recording are also not permitted.

Additional Information: Please note parking is not available on-site. The nearest car parks are at Clapham Road South or Whapload Road. Lowestoft Train Station is a 5-10 minute walk away.
