Step back in time with Catch of The Day, a special series of silent archive film screenings presented by Sunrise Film Festival in partnership with the Lowestoft Town Hall project.

Screening daily throughout the festival dates (Thursday 22 - Sunday 25 May), these captivating short films dive into Lowestoft’s maritime past, celebrating the stories, people, and heritage that have shaped our coastal town's fishing heritage.

As part of the Stories From The Sea exhibition, each screening offers a unique glimpse into fishing communities, seaside life, and historical moments captured on film — all in an atmospheric setting within 91, High Street

Whether you’re a local, a visitor, or simply curious about the town’s roots, Catch of The Day is a chance to experience living history through the lens of cinema.

Free entry – just drop in and enjoy the view from the past, in this unique experience of silent archive film.
